I am offering 1-to-1 private coding (computer programming) tuition for kids (primary to secondary school level) at your home (anywhere in Singapore). I might accept poly or university students if requirements match what I can offer.
I am a professional software developer mainly doing web application programming. I have more than 18 years experience of application development dealing with PHP, Python, JAVA, .NET, VB, Javascript, frameworks such as Struts, Django, CakePHP, Laravel, React, etc.
Teaching is my second activity that I also enjoy very much. I have been giving tuition since my secondary school days until now. I have given mostly mathematics tuition to primary, secondary, high school, and university students in the past 20 years. After I graduated from university, I have also given programming training to secondary school students in local schools (Java, VB, C, Lego Mindstorm, etc). For the past 7 years, I have also been teaching programming to students in local primary school as well as privately (Scratch, Micro:bit, Python, GCE O-Level Python coding component). I am an MOE registered instructor.
I really enjoy programming both doing it on my own as well as teaching it to others. My main principle in teaching/tutoring is to teach my students to be able to learn by themselves. Coding technology is always evolving, so it's important to be able to learn new technology as they emerge. It is my hope to share my knowledge and skills to others who will also enjoy and benefit from it.
Coding has been recognized as an important skill to have for the future. I hope that I will inspire others especially the younger generation to learn to code.
