This page describes how we collect, use, and disclose personal information when you use our websites and mobile apps (the “Service”).

Who we are

The Service is operated by Warpspeed Solutions Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore (UEN 201700362K). The Service includes our country websites and our companion mobile apps for iOS and Android.

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to our websites and to our mobile apps. Parts of the apps open our websites in an in-app browser, including creating a listing, Contact us, and this Privacy Policy. When using the in-app browser, the same website practices described here apply (including cookies and third-party scripts on those pages).

No user accounts

We do not offer end-user registration or login accounts. People who post listings manage them using secret administrative links we send by email. Visitors can browse listings and send enquiries without creating an account.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

  • Listing information. If you create a listing, we collect details you submit, such as name, email address, phone number, age, gender, title, description, subjects, price, address, map location (latitude and longitude), profile type (tutor or student), language, and an optional cover photo. We also record the IP address and approximate country of the device used when the listing is created.
  • Enquiries. If you contact a listing owner, we collect your name, email address, and message, as well as your IP address and approximate country. On the website, enquiry forms may use hCaptcha to help prevent spam.
  • Contact messages. If you use Contact us, we collect your name, email address, and message, plus IP address and approximate country.
  • Payments. If you pay to activate a listing or purchase a VIP package, payment card details are processed by Stripe. We receive payment status and related transaction references, and we may share listing contact details (such as name, email, and phone) with Stripe so they can create or update a customer record and send receipts.
  • Technical and usage data. We may collect IP address, approximate country (including via Cloudflare), browser or app information, and diagnostic or usage data needed to operate and secure the Service. On the website (and within the in-app browser), we also use Google Analytics and may show Google AdSense ads. The mobile apps send usage analytics to Google Analytics to track screen views (such as map and list searches, and listing details) and user interactions (such as applying search filters and submitting enquiries).
  • Device location (mobile apps). With your permission, the apps may access your device’s location while in use so you can center the map on tutors near you. We do not upload a dedicated “my location” profile field; map search uses the map area you are viewing.
  • App preferences. The mobile apps store preferences on your device (such as selected country, language, and search filters) using on-device storage.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service;
  • Publish and display listings and help users find tutors or students nearby;
  • Relay enquiries to listing owners and respond to Contact us messages;
  • Send transactional emails (for example listing confirmation, administrative links, payment-related messages, and expiry reminders) via Mailgun;
  • Process listing activation and VIP payments via Stripe;
  • Store listing cover images (including on Amazon Web Services cloud storage);
  • Prevent spam, abuse, and fraud;
  • Understand how the Service is used (analytics) and, on the website, display advertising; and
  • Comply with law and protect our rights and users.

We do not operate a marketing newsletter subscription. New listings may be promoted on our social channels (for example by posting a listing title and link).

Public information on listings

Listings are intended to be public. Information such as name, age, gender, phone number (on the listing detail page), address or map location, description, subjects, price, and cover photo may be visible to other users of the website and apps. Listing email addresses are not shown publicly on our platform; they are used to operate the listing (for example administrative emails and enquiry delivery).

Sharing and service providers

We share personal information with service providers who help us run the Service, and only as needed for those purposes. They are not permitted to use the information for unrelated purposes. Current providers include:

We may also use internal operational and error-monitoring tools that can include limited technical or listing-related context. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the Service, our users, or others.

Mobile apps

Our mobile apps request location permission only to show your position on the map and help you find nearby listings. The apps use Google Analytics to measure how the Service is used (for example, which screens are viewed and which search filters are applied). The current mobile apps do not use push notifications, crash-reporting SDKs, or advertising identifiers. Creating a listing, Contact us, and viewing this Privacy Policy may open our website in an in-app browser, where website cookies and scripts apply.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies. This includes first-party session cookies used for site functionality (for example security tokens) and third-party technologies from providers such as Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Stripe, Google Maps, and hCaptcha. Requests from the mobile apps do not use website cookies; instead, the apps send analytics events using an app identifier stored locally on your device. The in-app browser may use the same cookies as browsing the site in a normal web browser.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to operate the Service and for legitimate business, security, and legal purposes. Removing a listing typically marks it as removed or expired rather than permanently deleting all stored data from our systems. We do not currently provide an automated self-service data export or permanent erasure tool. If you want help with a privacy request, please use Contact Us.

Security

We strive to use commercially reasonable measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Service is a public classifieds platform for tutoring and learning. We do not knowingly target children with advertising based on personal data we collect. Listings may include a self-reported age and may be posted as student profiles; we do not verify ages or require parental consent through the Service. If you believe a listing should be removed, please contact us.

Links to other sites

The Service may contain links to other sites or open external apps (for example phone dialers or social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page. Please review this page periodically.
